Haliburton County could be getting better high-speed internet.

The Eastern Ontario Warden’s Caucus is hoping the federal and provincial government will help fund a $200-million project to improve internet access. This comes after the CRTC made an announcement about Broadband Internet now being an essential service. Chair of the Caucus Peter Emon says the project would cover 99 per cent of the region, by improving and building towers.
