Seniors in Haliburton County will be able to get a free vaccine soon.
Starting January 1st, Ontario is letting people between the ages of 65 and 70 get a shingles shot at no cost. The virus causes pain, itching, and a rash.
Ontario says it affects over 40,000 people in the province every year. Anyone interested in getting the shot can talk to their doctor or nurse practitioner.
