The Cottage Country Building Supplies/ Ridgewood Ford Highland Storm Atoms hosted the Sturgeon Lake Thunder on Saturday at the S G Nesbit arena. The Atoms were down 1-0 going into the third but Aiden Perrott scored to tie things up and then added two more while Addison Carr scored twice to make it a 5-1 Storm victory. Meanwhile the Haliburton Timber Mart/ Canadian Tire Highland Storm Novice team wrapped up a busy holiday schedule in to Elmvale on Sunday.  The Coyotes scored early in the first period but the Storm rallied and regained composure to put forth one of their strongest games of the season.  Beating the Coyotes 5 – 3. On Saturday  the Joanne Sharpley Source for Sports Peewees hosted the South Muskoka Bears in Minden.  It was a defensive battle with the Storm coming out on top 2-0. Darian Maddock earned the shut out and Colin Glecoff and Nick Phippen scored. Meanwhile 2017 started off on the right note for the Tom Prentice and Sons and Walkers Heating and Cooling Highland Storm Tyke team, they came home from the Tim Hortons Tournament in Bancroft as A division champs
