New initiatives to provide wood for Food for Warmth program

The Highland Grove Historical Society has been approved to store, cut and distribute wood for the Fuel for Warmth Program. Robert Spurrier approached council with the proposal yesterday.

Council approved the use of the north side of the Kidd Museum to cut and split the wood before it is moved to another site for storage. The Highland Grove Historical Society will be executing the project in collaboration with The World Life of Outreach and the Highlands East Fire Department Station 2. Signs will also be made to illustrate the community initiative.
