Haliburton drivers can expect to deal with some detours this year. The Dorset Bridge, which is partly in Haliburton County and partly in Lake of Bays, is getting a facelift. Haliburton council and the District of Muskoka are pitching in 500-thousand dollars each to help pay for the reconstruction. Haliburton’s Public Works Director, Craig Douglas, says spring is the best time to start the project before traffic picks up over the summer. However, nothing is set in stone yet as bids for the work aren’t due until January 26th.
