Minden Hills residents could see a 6 per cent tax increase this year. CAO Lorrie Blanchard says that would equal out to be $3.34 per $1,000 in assessments. This is coming from the most recent draft of the 2017 budget. These numbers could still change, because budget talks are in the early stages. Minden will continue to talk about these numbers next month. No details on where that extra cash will go are available yet, as council is still deciding on new initiatives.
