News Woman Broke Out Of Custody But Was Quickly Caught SHARE ON: Kaitlin Livingston, contributor, Tuesday, Jan. 24th, 2017 The Haliburton Highlands OPP caught a woman, but she escaped. On Monday afternoon, the 28-year-old woman ran off after she was taken to the South Muskoka Hospital for medical treatment. Police say she was spotted attempting to break into vehicles before managing to get into a truck. She was quickly stopped by police in town and arrested. On Saturday, the woman was arrested with a 29-year-old man after the two led police on a chase from Gravenhurst to Haliburton. Haliburton OPP assisted in stopping the vehicle with a spike belt, however one of the cruisers was damaged.
