Minden Hills wants to show off its history in a creative way. Director of Community Services Mark Coleman says the events committee wants to showcase the community’s background by using street banners. Coleman says they are hoping to get 55 banners for the downtown core. This will only happen if council gets accepted for a $350,000 grant from Canada 150. If they do, the banners will be made by local artists, and will be hung up in May.
