Union representatives, Louis Rodrigues and Nicholas Black, were in Haliburton last week raising red flags about the cleanliness of the healthcare facilities. He says high bed occupancy, overcrowding, and rapid patient turnover are all factors. The union is pushing the province to invest more money to help lower the risk of hospital-acquired infections.
