News Rainfall warning in effect with localized flooding possible SHARE ON: Tim Parent, contributor, Sunday, Apr. 13th, 2014 Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for our area, with several disturbances expected to move through southern Ontario over the next few days bringing significant rainfall. The Haliburton area could receive 10 to 20 mm of rain today, 5 to 10 mm tonight, and another 10 to 15 mm tomorrow. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible and you should avoid driving through water on roads as even shallow fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle or a person away. You are also advised to keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks.
