More people in Hastings and Prince Edward counties are going to a pharmacy to get their flu shots.
That’s according to Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health, which has released statistics showing an increase of over 12,000 people getting the shot from pharmacies from last year.
The same number of vaccines have been given out across the region from year to year.
The health unit says it will be working with pharmacies, primary care providers, and municipalities to figure out the best way to deliver the vaccines.
The peak of flu season has also passed, and the number of people heading to hospital with the virus is dropping.
