The YWCA is looking to municipalities in Haliburton County to step up and help out.
The organization is facing a financial issue as it has been forced to slowly start cutting funding to programs in the county.
Officials have worked hard to meet a goal of $120,000 in order to continue offering these programs in Haliburton.
However, the organization is still about $30,000 short of this goal and is now asking all the muncipalities in Haliburton for help.
On Thursday, YWCA Peterborough Haliburton officials will be visiting Dysart et al council to request a $5,000 donation towards this goal.
YWCA officials say if they can raise these funds they can start working on more long-term sustainable funding to keep these programs in Haliburton.
