Working on shore lands without a permit can end in a hefty fine

Before doing any work on shore lands, make sure it’s okay with the MNRF. The Ministry of Natural Resources is sending out that reminder after charging a Vaughan man for building a path along the shore of Haliburton Lake. He didn’t have the proper permits, and so he had to pay a thousand dollars. He pled guilty in Minden court last week.
