The deadline for the County to apply for provincial money to market the area is fast approaching. Director of Tourism, Amanda Virtanen, is applying for $30,000 from a provincial grant program. She says if the money comes through, it will go toward creating a marketing and brand plan, improving social media posts, and starting an online magazine. The deadline to apply is the end of March, and Virtanen needs council approval before she can send in an application.
