A public reminder notice has been issued by the Township of Minden Hills. The spring melt has begun and the township is reminded residents to be prepared.
- Build an Emergency Survival Kit
- Keep emergency contacts near your phone
- Check sump pumps – make sure electrical connections are plugged in correctly and circuit breakers are operational. The sump pit should be clear of debris.
- Keep a supply of sandbags – sand is available at the S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre at 55 Parkside Street in Minden. It is self serve and you will need your own bags.
