A Bancroft man accused of sexual assault dating back to 2002 has made his first local court appearance.
Bancroft OPP says J. Steven O’Connor is facing nine charges for the alleged crimes, which include sexual interference on a person under 16 years old and choking.
The 57-year-old is on a conditional release.
He is applying for legal aid, and is expected to return to Bancroft Court on March 21st.
