Crowe Valley Conservation Authority says to stay away from flowing water and ice

The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority has issued a water safety statement in its area. The Conservation Authority says lake levels and river flows across the area could increase because of last weekend’s precipitation.

A water safety statement was also put out by the Bancroft District of the Ministry of Natural Resources and forestry last week. Because of it, you are being asked to stay away from flowing waterways and ice which may be thin and unsafe.

The conservation authority and the MNRF do not consider flooding to be a threat at this time.
