MPP Laurie Scott is lending her support to Kawartha Lakes after a fatal fire at a youth facility. The Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock representative says she’s been speaking with the province, and they all standing behind the community as it works to recover from the blaze.

A youth facility was set on fire last week, killing an employee and sending two others to hospital. Second degree murder and arson causing bodily harm charges have since been laid. No details about the victims or the accused are being released.
