News Former Hastings County teacher pleads guilty to sex crimes SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, contributor, Thursday, Mar. 9th, 2017 A Hastings County teacher has pleaded guilty to seven charges for sex crimes. Jaclyn McLaren, who sometimes goes by Jaclyn Jones, has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation, two counts of luring, possession of child porn, and making explicit material available to people under 18 and under 16. The former teacher with the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board was had been facing a total of 42 charges related to sex crimes with youth between 12 and 15 years old in Tweed. McLaren has not taught since being arrested in February of last year. She now has a sentencing hearing on May 19th.
