A Bancroft man has been fined $3,500 for deer hunting offences.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says it was called to a home on Lower Turriff Road because of a complaint a man had shot a deer from his window at night, and left it there.
An investigation also found another deer hanging behind the home without a tag on it.
The man has been fined $2,000 for hunting at night, $1,000 for allowing the deer to spoil, and $500 for not immediately attaching a game-seal.
