Haliburton students can apply for some cash to start their own business this summer

Haliburton students are getting a shot at starting their own business. Anyone in high school or post-secondary can apply for the Summer Company program.

It gives students $1,500 to help with start-up costs, and that will be doubled after the program is completed. That means following a business plan, operating a bank account, and training with a mentor.

Students have to be between 15 and 29-years-old, and be going back to school in the fall. Check out the details on the Summer Company website.
