News Doors Open Ontario adding a historic church in Kawartha Lakes to its year-long historic tour SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, contributor, Thursday, Mar. 16th, 2017 Photo credit: supplied A church in Bobcaygeon that is nearly 150 years old will be opening its doors to the public this September. As part of the Ontario-wide Doors Open event, Christ Church will be taking part with a day-long tour of the historic building. Built in 1871, the church boasts an active congregation that has been running for the past 130 years. Tours will be running on September 10th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Doors Open offers residents and tourists a chance to get inside some of Ontario’s most iconic historic buildings across the province.
