A new plan to bring more tourists into the Highlands is under way. Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization has created a brand strategy called Come Wander. Executive Director Nicole Whiting says the platform will resonate with travelers looking to slow down in a new location.
There are going to be a number of stakeholder meetings in the area next month, so businesses can learn more about the plan and how about Come Wander will connect with consumers.
The list of meeting dates are as follows:
- April 18 – Carleton Place Town Hall, Carleton Place
- April 18 – Stirling Festival Theatre, Stirling
- April 19 – Bonnie View Inn, Haliburton
- April 19 – Sword Motor Inn, Bancroft
- April 25 – Spectacle Lake Lodge, Barry’s Bay
The presentations will focus on how Come Wander will be marketed, and how stakeholders can be featured. Register by April 10th on the Come Wander website.
