NewsScott: More needs to be done to help people on long-term care waiting lists SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, contributor, Wednesday, Mar. 29th, 2017Laurie Scott is looking for some action when it comes to the lack of long-term care beds in Haliburton.The MPP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock says the Central East Local Health Integration Network has the highest wait times for long-term care beds in the province. But, Scott says that’s not enough, and more needs to be done to stop people from dying on a waiting list.
