A missing Scarborough man is okay after being reported missing in the area. The Haliburton Highlands OPP were called out at around 1:00am Monday morning to look for the 82-year-old man. His family reported him missing after he was working in the bush near their family cottage.
The OPP and its K9 unit found the man to be okay and in good health. The OPP is reminding everyone to dress according to the weather conditions. Always mark your trail, and when working in the bush aim to be out of the woods before dark whenever possible.
The OPP also says to have a buddy system, and have emergency supplies for warmth, food, water, and a cell phone.
