Don’t put those snow shovels away just yet

Haliburton is getting one last shot of winter weather before April starts. Environment Canada is predicting snow, but has scaled back the numbers, from 15 cm to somewhere between five and 10 cm for some areas in Muskoka.

The snow is expected to start tonight, but should turn into rain on Friday as the temperatures warm up. The white stuff shouldn’t stick around for too long, as the weekend is expected to see highs of nine.

A special weather statement is in effect for Haliburton and Minden. Environment Canada says it doesn’t expect to upgrade that to a snowfall warning, but it could still happen.
