Haliburton OPP officer being recognized for his work in the community

A Haliburton police officer is being honoured by Fleming College. Provincial Constable Tim Negus won an Outstanding Police Officer Service Award at the college this week, for his work in organizing the Push for Change and for helping a Syrian refugee family adjust to life in the highlands.

Negus was one of seven to win the award this week. The police services nominated someone from the unit for showing commitment to the community, leadership, and integrity. Fourth semester students in the police foundations course handed out the awards to each officer.
