Travelling home for Easter just got more expensive this weekend. Gas prices jumped nationwide with a few experts saying the increase is because of the rising cost of oil.
In Haliburton, some residents are staying away from the pumps in favour of staying home for the holiday.
The average gas prices in Ontario are hovering around 116.9, up about 10 cents per litre from earlier in the week. Gas experts have said the prices likely won’t drop until mid-May.
