Algonquin Park delaying some of its opening dates

This year’s opening dates for some parts of Algonquin Park have been delayed because of the weather.

Ontario Park says the Rock Lake, Tea Lake, Archray, Brent, and Kiosk Campgrounds, along with all backcountry campsites, ranger cabins, portages, and access points won’t be open until April 28^th.

That’s because of some roads are still snow-covered, and there is still ice on some lakes.

Typically, they would open on April 21^st.
