The deadline to buy native plants from Friends of Ecological and Environmental Learning is approaching. FEEL is taking orders for trees, flowers, and shrubs that are native to the area, and will grow well in the Haliburton climate. They range from edible plants like a raspberry bush, to ones that can create a wildlife habitat.
All of the orders have to be in by tomorrow, and the plants will be ready for pick-up in May.
Experts will be there to explain how to best take care of the plants, or where the best place to plant will be. For ordering details go to the Haliburton Stewardship website.
