Victim Services of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton benefiting from a craft club’s project

Kids affected by crime or tragedy are getting some support from the Retirement Suits of Kawartha Lakes. The retirement home’s Crafters Club hand-made 90 teddy bears over the last month, which are going to Victim Services of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton. The club had up to 20 residents working on the project at times, and says its happy to see the bears put to use.

Victim services works with the police to provide support for victims of crime or tragic circumstances. Volunteers help victims over the phone, on the scene, or in the office. More details are on its website:
