The Kawartha Lakes OPP is reminding drivers to always plan a safe way home after a night out. This comes as a couple of impaired driving charges were laid over the weekend.
The OPP was called about a driver on Kawartha Lakes Road 30, between Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls on Friday afternoon. They tracked him down and charged a 42-year-old Markham man with impaired driving, as well as careless storage of a firearm.
Then, on Sunday at around 3:30am, police pulled a driver over in Fenelon Falls for erratic driving. The 29-year-old Cambray man was hit with impaired driving and possession of marijuana.
The OPP is sending out the reminder to never drink and drive as the warm weather is approaching.
