Teens are planting trees and sewing pillows all for a good cause. Community Reach is hosting its Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge again this year, which began on Sunday and runs until June 3rd.
The goal is to have teenagers aged 14 to 18-years-old volunteer in their community, learn new skills, and raise awareness for community organizations. Community Reach launched the challenge in Haliburton, and are planning local events for youth to join.
Last year, 15,000 volunteer hours were logged across Ontario. More details on different events happening in the area will be posted on the Change the World Facebook page.
