NewsLocal teens are being challenged to give back to the community SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, contributor, Wednesday, Apr. 26th, 2017Teens are planting trees and sewing pillows all for a good cause. Community Reach is hosting its Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge again this year, which began on Sunday and runs until June 3rd.The goal is to have teenagers aged 14 to 18-years-old volunteer in their community, learn new skills, and raise awareness for community organizations. Community Reach launched the challenge in Haliburton, and are planning local events for youth to join.Last year, 15,000 volunteer hours were logged across Ontario.
