The entire Bancroft District of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is now under a flood warning.

The MNRF has issued the warning, which means flooding is imminent or happening in some waterways.

Recent and forecasted rain could cause levels and flows in local waterways to rise, and nuisance flooding is expected in low-lying areas near the York, Madawaska, and Gull rivers.

Water could accumulate in places near waterways, ditches, and in areas with poor drainage.

The MNRF is advising residents to keep an eye on water conditions, and be extremely cautious near fast-moving rivers and streams, and when using forest access roads.
