Flood warning still out for Gull River Watershed

A flood warning is still in effect for the Gull River Watershed in Minden Hills. The township says the watershed is very vulnerable, and the outflow of water on Horsehoe Lake, through the Gull River, will be rising.

Reservoir lakes in Minden are currently at, or above, capacity according to township officials. the levels could also reach or exceed last year’s levels. Property owners are asked to monitor their situation, and pick up sandbags if needed.

  • S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre, located at 55 Parkside Street, Minden
  • Roads Department Yard #3, located at 4564 County Road 121 (Kinmount location), in the Sand Dome to the left of the entrance.
