The Haliburton Highlands detachment says the water levels are very high, which means currents are fast and conditions can change in an instant. The OPP also says there could be debris floating on the surface or just below, which could be difficult to see.If you are on the boat, make sure it has all of the required safety equipment on board. That includes lifejackets, a bailing bucket, a floating rope, floating flashlight, and a fire extinguisher.
