Minden Hills Food Centre Overwhelmed by Support

Support continues to pour in for the people of Minden Hills affected by the flood from our region and province wide.

Various businesses and residents have stepped up donating items such as tooth brushes, bottled water and frozen meals.

Minden Community Food Centre Chairperson Marilynne Lesperance shares an example of a club offering support.

Lesperance also mentions there is a certain item they can use more of.

Dentists from all over Ontario have sent tooth brushes and the four-by-four club from Simcoe donated over a thousand dollars and two pallets of items.

Lesperance also mentioned that the Food Centre will be able to better access the community’s needs as the water levels subside.

The Food Centre is open from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. If you are in need of a meal, be sure to visit the Food Centre at 24 Newcastle.
