Update: Kawartha Lakes O.P.P. investigating after Fenelon Falls High School was locked down

Update: May 31, 10:35 A.M.

The 16 year old male youth arrested on May 30 has been charged with mischief and common nuisance following an investigation by police.

The Kawartha Lakes O.P.P. says they were altered by staff at F.F.S.S. after an image was distributed over social media.

Update: May 30, 4:00 p.m.

The O.P.P. continues to investigate following a lock down of Fenelon Falls Secondary School.

No details are available as to the nature of the threat but the Lockdown was lifted yesterday afternoon.

A “Hold and Secure” was initially put into place but the school was locked down after the suspect was not found.

A 16 year old male was arrested shortly after the Lockdown.

Attempts by Moose News to reach the Kawartha Lakes Detachement, school, and school board were unsuccessful.

No one was injured according to a post on The Trillium Lakelands District School Board’s Facebook page.
