New operations software could lead to future savings for Dysart Et Al

The Municipality of Dysart Et Al is spending money now to save later.

The upgrade will cost taxpayers approximately $105,000.

Municipal Treasurer Barbara Swannell says making some operations paperless will keep costs down.

The current system used by the municipality is out of date.

The new system will allow much of the municipality’s operations to be electronic.

The new program will last indefinitely, according Swannell.

The County of Haliburton will share on hardware and licensing fees to ease the burden.
