Township of Minden Hills donates $1,000 towards charity race

Minden Hills Township is donating $1,000 towards a charity raising money for affordable housing.

The Highland Yard race is in its 46^th year, and has been raising money for Places for People the last four years.

Race Director Jack Russel says they set new fundraising records each year.

Places for People’s goal is to find affordable housing for anyone who needs it in the Haliburton Highlands.

Russell says close to 100% of the money raised goes towards Places for People.
