A 17 year old student is leading students at Haliburton Highlands Secondary School towards a greener county.
Emily Parish is also on the committee for the Regional Centre of Expertise, which is a United Nations designation.
She is also part of her school’s Eco Team.
Emily says she and her team chip in by cleaning up and using renewable energy.
Emily hopes to stay involved in green initiatives once she graduates from high school.
She adds that the H.H.S.S. Eco Team has ten students in all.
