Environment Haliburton is having a discussion The Waste Free Ontario Act in Minden Hills Tuesday night.
The act was passed just over a year ago in Queen’s Park, and its biggest aims are to reduce landfill waste and increase recycling
Environment Haliburton spokesperson Terry Moore says Canadians only recycle a small portion of their waste.
Despite his disappointment with the recycling numbers, Moore is optimistic about the future.
The guest speaker will be former Algonquin Highlands Environmental Coordinator Ryan Sisson.
The event will be at the Minden United Church on Newcastle Street starting at 7:30.
