Getting physicians to Haliburton County is easy, keeping them is the challenge

Keeping physicians in Haliburton County remains a challenge for local health organizations.

The Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team has a walk-in clinic starting July 3^rd thanks to two new temporary physicians.

Executive Director Kim Robinson says they can use another two or three full time doctors in a perfect world.

Robinson says they can attract post graduate medical students here for their practicum but keeping them is difficult.

They currently have ten physicians.
