Katie’s sixth annual Run for Epilepsy is coming up Saturday, June 24 in Haliburton Village.
Katie Woudstra and her mother Geri are hoping to raise over $33,000 for EpLink, which is the epilepsy research program of the Ontario Brain Institute.
Both organizations support research to find a cure for epilepsy.
21 year old Katie Woudstra cannot believe how far the race has come since it first started.
Woudstra says all money raised supports research for a cure.
The race starts with registration at 8:00 a.m. by Haliburton Highlands Secondary School.
There are runs of five and ten kilometres, and a walk/run of 2.5 kilometres.
