Haliburton Highlands Health Services is in good financial shape heading forward.
H.H.H.S. had their annual general meeting at the Minden hospital Thursday and shared the news of a surplus just over $17,000 for the last year.
President and C.E.O. Carolyn Plummer and Board Chair Dave Bonham mentioned they received over $540,000 from the H.H.H..S. Foundation, and over $25,000 from the Haliburton and Minden Auxiliaries.
A major highlight of the year was the expansion of the Palliative Care Centre near the Haliburton hospital to two units.
A priority for the H.H.H.S. is improving imaging equipment heading into 2018.
