The municipality of Dysart et al is getting provincial and federal government assistance to conduct two studies.
The study is an environmental assessment and engineering report for a septic treatment facility.
The total cost is $139,250, but thanks to the public funds, Dysart will have to pay $34,812.50.
Reeve Murray Fearrey says he’s glad to be getting help towards the studies.
Fearrey expects the municipality will have to spend more money to make the treatment facility a reality.
There is currently no timeline for construction.
The funding comes from the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund, which is a joint venture by Queen’s Park and Parliament.
