The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. says they’ll be out in full force this Canada Day weekend.

Starting Friday, they will be having their provincial traffic safety initiative to crack down on impaired driving, distracted driving, stunt driving and seatbelt infractions.

Community Safety Officer Dianna Dauphinee says call police immediately if you notice any dangerous activity on the roads.

Duaphinee wants to remind people on the water that operating a boat while impaired carries the same charges that driving impaired does.

She also urges boaters to have a life jacket on board as well.
