Twelve new affordable places to live could be coming to Haliburton Village in the near future.
The Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton Housing Corporation will be speaking to Dysart’s committee of adjustment Wednesday morning.
The corporation is looking to build two townhouse blocks with six units each.
The proposed development would be on the same land as Whispering Pines, a 24 unit apartment building just off county road 21.

The developers are asking for an exemption, which would allow them to have one parking spot per unit, as opposed to the minimum 1.5 per Dysart’s official plan.
If the committee agrees to the plan, it could get rubber stamped at Dysart’s next council meeting later this month.
