Algonquin Highlands Reeve Carol Moffatt is about to become Mayor.
Council will be voting at today’s meeting to change Moffatt’s title from Reeve to Mayor.
At June’s council meeting, Moffatt said the title of reeve is outdated.
Council will also learn about the federal and provincial government’s contribution to drainage culvert replacements on Dawson Road.
The total cost is $108,500 but Ottawa and Queen’s Park will be contributing $75,000 from the Clean Water and Wastewater fund, which is a joint venture between the two upper levels of government.
