Algonquin Highlands receives money from joint fund between the federal and provincial governments

Algonquin Highlands will be getting $75,000 to help repair and replace drainage culverts on Dawson Road.

The money comes from the Clean Water and Wastewater fund, which is a joint venture between Ottawa and Queen’s Park.

Council learned at this week’s meeting that their request for money from the fund was approved.

The total cost of the work is estimated at $108,500, and the township will pay the remaining $33,500.

There is no word on when the work would begin.
